Khadija loves the moment when someone puts on a pair of glasses and sees something new in themselves. With over 15 years of industry experience, our licensed optician is committed to helping you find eyewear that fits well, feels comfortable, and reflects your personal style.

For Khadija, eyewear is practical, but it can also be personal. She enjoys helping people discover frames that suit them, feel like themselves, and sometimes give them a new way to express who they are.

She describes life at Kootenay Family Vision Care as “new and fun,” and says the team truly feels like a family that works well together. That energy carries into the rest of her life too. Khadija is an active volunteer in the community and has served in a leadership role with a local organization. She moved from Vancouver with her husband and mother several years ago and shares her home with two “crazy cats.” When she is not at the practice, she has, as she puts it, “too many” hobbies, including CrossFit, paddleboarding, hiking, travelling, exploring, and movie nights.
